We’re searching for an amazing Lead Generation Specialist to join our Sales team. Someone with a lot of energy, wit and overall zest for trying out new strategies and appealing to new clientele. A 65-year-old American manufacturing company that creates interior signs, visual décor, and office products for thousands of brands and individuals alike. “Interior signs?” you ask. Think: Marriott Hotels or the new Salesforce Tower in downtown San Francisco, and all the signage inside that gets you where you want to go. When it comes to visual décor, think: grocery stores and retail stores, and the unique department banners, aisle markers and item labels that tell you where you are and what you’re buying. But wait, there’s more. We craft beautiful office products, too. Everything from business cards and self-stick notes, to stamps and ink – there’s very little we can’t create.

Enough about us. Let’s talk you. We’re looking for a highly organized and motivated inside sales professional who loves to do research and find new clients.Above all else, we need a team player. Good communication and project management skills are qualities we covet, not to mention serious attention to detail when documenting results of marketing campaigns. Previous research, customer service, inside sales, and CRM experience as well as knowledge of architectural sign channels is very helpful, but also something we can teach to the right person. Could this be you? To be specific, can you do the below?

 Essential Functions:    

  • Research markets for product opportunities, competition investigation, trade shows and connection-based activities, internet business expectations, market size, IdG’s value proposition/angle in these markets, revenue potential, quote to order time cycle, typical hit rate, and investment to enter the market.
  • Once a market/product has been identified, develop/buy/find list of lead sources, develop/explain marketing literature needed for that market, test market calling/emailing prospects to determine best technique, and launch best technique with Sales team members.
  • Be a power user in Salesforce.com by setting up, tracking, and generating reports for business development campaigns. Provide Sales Leaders with activity feedback of all Sales team members, and work closely with Sales Analyst to track hit rates and trends.
  • Utilize effective oral, presentation and written communication skills to develop strong business relationships with the customer and across all levels of the Organization. This includes having the ability to teach others how to sell into specific markets.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of understanding of the products, territory, accounts, industry, marketplace, objectives, business drivers, initiatives, requirements and factors critical to success.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information.
  • Comply with all Identity Group policies and procedures.
  • Perform other possible job functions as assigned by manager or designee.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience.
  • Two (2) years inside sales experience in related field with potential interior signage clients.
  • Demonstrable history researching markets and generating qualified leads as a result.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com.
